TOC Torch – Total organic carbon meter

The Torch is considered a premium TOC combustion analyzer due to its many useful features and automated analytical workflow. For example, it performs serial dilutions of stock standards to form a calibration curve and automatically dilutes samples with higher concentrations than the calibration curve. Torch software has built-in diagnostics and troubleshooting capabilities.

  • Torch uses the patent-pending Static Pressure Concentration (SPC) for TOC analysis using high-temperature combustion.
  • Maintenance is simplified by a design that allows easy access to all parts of the equipment.
  • Built-in benchmark diagnostic testing – including leak testing
  • Ability to program and save oven temperatures to suit different methods
  • Static pressure condensing technology (patent pending)
  • Intellidilution feature automatically detects samples that have exceeded the selected calibration range and dilutes to stay within the selected range
  • Wide range of preset applications for analytical requirements
  • Automatic calibration eliminates the need for manual standard preparation
  • Detection level:
Carbon 50ppb to 30,000ppm
Easy access for furnace maintenance
Improved catalyst
Built-in autosampler
Increase throughput with ASM Sparge
Auto-blanking
Flow controller
Ability to mix optional titration flasks

Gas supply Free Air Hydrocarbon and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) (with oxygen greater than 18%) with TOC <1ppm or UHP O2. Gas can be supplied from a cylinder or a TOC generator. If a TOC generator is used, the gas formed must be hydrocarbons and not contain water. To ensure the use of clean carrier gas, we recommend using a complete CO2 removal system and trapping hydrocarbons between the gas source and the analyzer.
Inlet gas pressure 65 to 100 psi
