ÄKTA ready™ – Chromatography Systems

Proven single-use chromatography systems for GMP manufacturing

Maximize up-time through single-use technology

The ÄKTA ready™ system family consists of a range of single-use liquid chromatography system options that are built for process scale-up and GMP manufacturing.

The systems use disposable flow paths and prepacked columns to enable flexibility and speed in bioprocessing.

Choose your configuration

ÄKTA ready™ single-use chromatography systems are available in four standard configurations:

  • ÄKTA ready™ system (isocratic or gradient)
  • ÄKTA ready™ variable UV system
  • ÄKTA ready™ extended system

System table

ÄKTA ready™ system (isocratic or gradient configuration)

This system provides essential functionality and sensor capability needed for most common chromatography operations. It is available with either isocratic or gradient capability and has a visual installation aid integrated into the software.

Typical applications: mAbs and recombinant protein purifications

ÄKTA ready™ variable UV system

The ÄKTA ready™ variable UV system builds on the ÄKTA ready™ gradient system with these modifications:

  • A three-wavelength variable UV sensor (206-700 nm)
  • An integrated single-use pH electrode in the flow path to enable closed processing.

Typical applications: separation of full and empty adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsids, and nucleic acids such as plasmids and mRNA.

ÄKTA ready™ extended system

ÄKTA ready™ extended system is designed with extra features to provide more flexibility in processing. In addition to the sensor capabilities of ÄKTA ready™ variable UV system, it also includes:

  • Additional sensors and valves for enhanced functionality
  • Capability to monitor and control Xcellerex™ XDUO mixers
  • Integrated human-machine interface (HMI)

Single-use flow kits for flexibility and speed

  • Eliminate the need for system cleaning, including validation.
  • Reduce downtime between products/batches to improve economy and productivity.
  • Minimize risk for cross-contamination between products/batches.
Compliance The product fulfills valid directives and standards when used within the conditions specified in the user manual. The product must also be used in the same state as it was delivered from Cytiva and connected only to other CE labeled Cytiva modules or other products as recommended. For regulatory details please see declaration of conformity.
